Battery GC is a battery store based at 811 Timothy Lane in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, operated by GREY COASTAL ENTERPRISES, LLC ("Battery GC," "we," "us" or "our"). We sell batteries, chargers and accessories through our website, batterygc.store, and ship them to customers across the United States.
We know that when you shop with us or ask us for help finding the right battery, you are trusting us with your information. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It applies to our website, our online store, and any emails, texts, calls or messages you exchange with us (together, our "Services").
At a Glance
- We collect the information we need to process your order, ship it, answer your questions and run our store.
- We share information only with the companies that help us do that, such as Shopify, payment processors and shipping carriers.
- We do not sell your phone number, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing help@batterygc.com.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you place an order, create an account, fill out our contact form, sign up for delivery notifications or contact us by phone, email or text, we may collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and shipping and billing addresses
- Order details, such as the products you buy, prices, and shipping method
- Payment confirmation details (your full card number is handled by our payment processor, not stored by us)
- Account information, such as your login email and order history
- The details you share when you ask for help, such as the device, alarm system or equipment you need a battery for, and any photos you send us for returns or damage claims
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect information about your device and how you use the site, such as your IP address, browser type, approximate location, pages viewed, products added to your cart and how you arrived at our site. This is collected using cookies, pixels and similar technologies.
Information from other sources. We may receive information from Shopify, our payment processors, shipping carriers and the advertising and sales channels we use (such as Google, Microsoft and the Shop app), for example to confirm a payment, provide tracking updates or measure how our ads perform.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To fill your order: process payments, pack and ship your batteries, send order confirmations and tracking, and handle returns, refunds and carrier claims.
- To help you choose the right battery: answer questions about voltage, capacity, terminals and fit, and follow up on your request.
- To communicate with you: send order and delivery updates and, if you sign up, news and offers. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
- To run and improve our store: keep the website working, understand which products and pages are useful, and improve our selection and service.
- To advertise: show our products on platforms like Google and Microsoft and measure how those ads perform.
- To protect our customers and our business: prevent fraud, keep our systems secure, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
3. Text Messages and Calls
If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about your order, delivery or the question you asked us. If you sign up to receive marketing texts, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Agreeing to receive marketing texts is never a condition of purchase. We do not sell your phone number or text-messaging consent, and we do not share them with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Who We Share Information With
We share personal information only as needed to run our business, including with:
- Shopify, which hosts our online store and processes orders. Learn more about how Shopify uses personal information at privacy.shopify.com.
- Payment processors, which securely handle your payment.
- Shipping carriers, such as USPS and UPS, and any vendor or manufacturer that ships an item directly to you, so your order can be delivered.
- Email, text and customer service tools that help us send messages and respond to you.
- Advertising and analytics partners, such as Google and Microsoft, which help us show and measure ads and understand website traffic.
- Professional advisors and authorities, such as accountants and lawyers, or government agencies when required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent fraud.
- A future owner, if our business is ever sold or reorganized.
Some states treat sharing information for targeted advertising as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out of this on our Your Privacy Choices page, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser.
5. Cookies
Cookies help our website remember your cart, keep you signed in, and show us how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but blocking some cookies may stop parts of the store, like the cart and checkout, from working properly.

- Ask what personal information we have about you and get a copy of it
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your information
- Opt out of marketing emails and texts, targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of your information

7. How We Protect and Keep Your Information
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and our checkout is handled through Shopify's secure, encrypted platform. No website or online system is completely secure, so please use a strong password for your account and let us know right away if you think your account has been compromised.
We keep your information only as long as we need it to fill orders, provide support, handle returns and warranty questions, and meet our legal, tax and accounting requirements. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.
8. Children
Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
